Profilactic sees 1,600% increase in daily sign ups
I was going to ask the question, "Do you want the good news or the bad news?"
The good news, of course, would have been that we're seeing big surges in users, sign ups and pageviews over the past few days. Our daily sign up average is up over 1,600% since last week. The more members we have, the more friends you can make and the more cool content you can discover, etc.
The bad news is that all of this new activity has put a strain on the ol' Profilactic servers. Over the past 24-48 hours, we've had a couple of outages due to the volume of traffic and the amount of data being aggregated and mashed up.
We are working on fixes for all of these issues now; however, there may be some flakiness over the next day or so while we get everything ironed out. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Good thing there isn't a huge interactive festival coming up this week...

I test out a lot of social sites and other social aggregators and Profilactic is certainly the most flexible aggregator available, and no bombardment of ads.
I would love to have an xml feed instead of javascript for syndicating my social site list. I would also like to be able to use my Gmail contact list to search for friends on Profilactic.
