Profilactic releases v2.2
After a lengthy hiatus where some of us have worked on our Master's Degree, started a new company or played a ton of Halo 3 and Guitar Hero III (that's the one I did, btw), we pushed out a few enhancements to Profilactic this week.
The first new feature is "Invite a friend." Now you can send your friends invites to join Profilactic. Plus, we'll keep track of who you invited, when you invited them and whether or not they accepted. We'll also automatically make the two of you friends when they do accept. If you have friends, please send them an invite.
We've also added support for your real name. Lots of members wanted to be able to display their real name so that friends can find them more easily from our site or through a Google search. To update your name, go to the "My tools" menu in the header and select "Edit my profile."
That's it. Just a few handy things that people had asked for over the past few months.
We are already working on the next batch of enhancements that add some really cool, new functionality to the site. The big one will be the ability to pick and choose which feeds you want to see from each of your friends in your Friends Mashup (i.e. you could exclude someone's Flickr photos, but still get their Twitter updates and blog posts).
If you have a feature wishlist, post those ideas as a comment or send them to feedback at profilactic dot com.
